DIFFERENT NEEDS
ONE CONNECTED APPROACH
KYND CARE is developing a connected range of support for women and young women whose lives and needs do not fit neatly within a single service. Each pathway will respond to a specific area of need while remaining grounded in the same model: one trusted relationship, one coordinated plan and consistent practical follow-through.
Our work will begin with Ember House, a specialist residential setting providing a female specialist provision for young mothers under 18, as well as vulnerable young girls and women. Through the KYND CARE approach, each young woman will receive tailored, trauma-informed support to strengthen self-efficacy, prepare for motherhood, develop a safe and responsive relationship with her baby, and address the barriers created by trauma, instability or disrupted care.
Support will connect parenting, emotional wellbeing, education, health, housing and practical life skills around the individual. From the beginning, each plan will work towards a safe and sustainable transition into the community—equipping every young woman and girl with the relationships, confidence and practical tools needed to build an independent family life and, wherever appropriate, move from care towards sustained independence.
Further pathways are being developed for women and young women affected by exploitation, abuse, neglect, complex trauma and difficult transitions.
Across every pathway, the purpose remains the same: to provide earlier, more connected support that strengthens safety, stability, confidence and opportunity—and helps prevent disadvantage from continuing into the next generation.
Our Developing Pathways
KYND CARE is being developed as an umbrella for specialist pathways that respond to different forms of vulnerability without fragmenting the person. Each pathway will have its own focus and expertise while remaining grounded in the same trauma-informed, relationship-led, and coordinated approach.
FIRST PATHWAY IN DEVELOPMENT
EMBER HOUSE
A specialist therapeutic residential setting is being developed for pregnant and parenting young women under 18 and their babies. Ember House will bring together trauma-informed parenting and parent-infant support, emotional wellbeing, education, health, practical life skills and transition planning. Tailored support will help each young mother strengthen self-efficacy, build parenting confidence and lay the foundations for a safe, stable and independent family life.
PATHWAY IN DEVELOPMENT
EXPLOITATION AND COMPLEX RISK
Relationship-led support for women and young women affected by criminal or sexual exploitation, County Lines, abuse, neglect or unsafe relationships. This pathway will focus on sustained engagement, safety, trust, protective relationships and realistic routes away from harm—coordinated alongside statutory and specialist services.
PATHWAY IN DEVELOPMENT
TRAUMA, STABILITY AND TRANSITIONS
Support for women and young women whose experiences of trauma, disrupted care, housing instability or difficult transitions create gaps between services. This pathway will provide continuity through change, connect practical and therapeutic support, and help each build greater stability, confidence and independence.

KYND CARE is at an early stage of development.
We welcome conversations with local authorities, commissioners, funders, specialist organisations and people with lived experience who want to help shape support that is responsive, sustainable and grounded in real need.
